Kinmel Bay, also known as Sandy Cove, is a seaside village located to the southwest of Rhyl. It features a mix of sand and pebble beaches, complemented by a small promenade. The area is perfect for nature lovers and walkers, with the Kinmel Dunes Local Nature Reserve and the North Wales Coast Path running alongside the beach. Kinmel Bay sits between Rhyl and Towyn, offering a peaceful retreat with easy access to both seaside and countryside.

Kinmel Bay offers a variety of educational options for all ages.
Ysgol Maes Owen: A mixed county primary school, established in 1950. It has an open and welcoming atmosphere and providing excellent learning opportunities.
Rhyl College: Located just a short drive from Kinmel Bay, Rhyl College offers a wide range of courses, including A-levels. It’s part of the Menai group, which includes colleges across North Wales, and provides a variety of options to suit all educational goals.
